Hey, heres my current drum set. A mass marriage of Pearl, Zlidjian, Remo, Pro-Mark, Mackie, CAD Mics, Gibraltar and custom made hardware.

This seems obvious to most, but to get back to the main page you press the close button in the corner (X). Or you can click on the 'index' above.

whats new
  1. Well the 18" x 16" floor tom came today, so i did some cleaning, some moving around and added it to my kit :) Pics updated below! :)
  2. I have been playing the drums for over 22.5 years now. This is my 3rd Pearl set, and 4th set overall. My first set was a no name 3 piece I scored at age 15 for $50. I mostly played a friends 5 piece Remo kit when I joined a band. My 2nd kit was a Pearl CZX 5 piece with over sized components. If I remember correctly, the 2 hanging toms were 14"x14" and 15"x15", with an 18"x18" floot tom and 24"x16" kick. 2nd Pearl kit was a 6 piece Export series in #95 Ocean Blue wrap with 12", 13", 14" and 15" hanging toms and 22"x16" kick.
  3. In this current picture set, the configuration is the same, with small changes that have not been documented at the time of this update. Updated pictures will be taken when the 18" floor tom arrives, hopefully in time for the 2010 Pearl Vision Series Contest on the Pearl Drummers Forum.
  4. I currently have a Pearl Vision Series 7 piece set in color #235, Concord Fade. It is a lacquer finish, not a wrap. Sizes are 8"x7", 10"x8", 12"x9" and 16"x16" toms, 22"x18" kick and matching 14"x5.5" Steel Sensitone snare and a 14"x3.5" Steel Shell Free Floating snare as my main snare. I have 90% Pearl hardware, 2 piece of Gibraltar and the cymbal uprights are custom made. At the time of this update, I have an 18" x 16" floor tom on the way in the same color, so I will have a 7 piece set soon, biggest I've ever owned. Future updates will most likely be limited to a second kick drum, or dual 24" kicks.
  5. Zildjian Cymbals: Z Custom in 14" Mastersound hi-hats, 16", 17", 18", 19" (not shown) Rock Crashes, 22" Ride.
  6. Wuhan Cymbals: 18" China, 8", 10", 12" splashes. I inverted (turned inside out) the splashes to make a 'china' splash sound. I really like the 8" the best, its a really 'icey' sound perfect for accents. The 10" is a bit deeper and the 12" sound like a small gong.
  7. Pearl hardware includes: Icon DR-500 Rack with 2 RJ-50 rack joints; 10 PC-50 clamps; P122TW double kick pedal modded for P900 foot boards; matching legless modded HW-820 hi-hat stand with P900 Power Shifter Foot Board and Power Plate with HW-885 roller cam assembly and Super Grip Clutch; Optimount Tom mounting system on 8", 10" and 12" toms with modded 900 Series Unilock tom arms; CH2000 boom arm with 2 GyroLock Tilters; 1 AX-20 for securing the hi-hat stand; 800 Series snare stand with Uni-Ball basket mount; Motorcycle style throne.
  8. Gibraltar hardware includes: SC-MCSA4 4" Cymbal Stacker and a SC4425G clamp.
  9. The cymbal 'arms' shown in this series of pics, are made from T-304 Stainless Steel tubes with sealed ends and marine grade stainless 90 degree elbows and top slides used for hanging the cymbals.
  10. Also not shown currently are CAD mics and Mackie CR1604VZ mixer.

Enough specs, on to the pics!

a little about me
My name is A.J. According to some, I am incredibly wierd - to those people I say this: I might be, but I don't care what you think. Noone cares what you think. Get on with your own life, instead of critisising other people's. I spend most of the time at work, playing the drums and posting on the Pearl Drummers Forum.
